Taiwan Philosophy of Education Society (TPES) was founded at the National Taiwan Normal University, March 19th 2016. TPES is the largest professional grouping for philosophy of education. The goal of TPES is to facilitate the study of theories and practices in philosophy of education, and to create a professional network for both researchers and people who are interested in this topic.
Every year, TPES convenes a meeting of directors and supervisors. To promote studies of philosophy of education, TPES hosts academic events including the Taiwan Philosophy of Education Society Annual Conference, Philosophy Lectures and book clubs. To further enhance the quality of educational research, bi-annually, TPES also publishes its own academic journal “Taiwan Philosophy of Education” to provide academics a formal platform to publish their ideas. As a society that promotes educational philosophy, these academic events are open to the public. TPES welcomes everyone.
